We started with a complaint, not a product
Everyone who trains seriously has had the same moment: you finish a session you're proud of, you take a photo in the gym mirror, and the person in the photo looks softer and wider than the person you just watched lift. Nothing about your body changed between the set and the shot. The lighting did the damage.
Commercial gyms light from directly overhead because it's cheap and even. Overhead light fills the exact hollows that define a physique. The line under the pec, the separation between delt and bicep, the shadow that makes an ab an ab. Studios have known this for a century, which is why no photographer has ever lit a body from a ceiling panel.
What we build
GYMLIGHT makes portable, battery-powered, colour-accurate lights that mount to gym equipment in seconds and light you from the front at an angle. Three jobs, solved in order: the Professional GYMLIGHTâ„¢ lights you, our magnetic and suction mounts hold the phone steady, and the Pose Monitorâ„¢ lets you see the frame before you shoot.
Every unit is specified around colour accuracy first, CRI 95+ minimum, because a bright light that renders skin badly is worse than no light at all.
How we work
- Specs we can defend. If we claim 1,100 lumens and CRI 96+, that's the measured figure, not the LED chip's theoretical maximum.
- 7-day returns on unused items, plus 6-month cover on defective goods.
- Delivery stated up front: 1–2 business days to process, 7–21 business days in transit.
