Question 1

Why does gym lighting make me look worse than I am?

Accepted Answer

Almost every gym lights from directly overhead. Top-down light fills the hollows it should be carving. It flattens the chest, widens the waist and drops your face into shadow. GYMLIGHT lights you from the front at an angle, the way a studio would, so the same body reads as defined instead of flat.

Question 2

Will the magnet hold on my gym's equipment?

Accepted Answer

The N52 magnet holds 8kg on steel and won't creep under vibration. Some racks are aluminium or thickly powder-coated, which magnets don't grip. That's what the GymLight™ Suction Mount is for: it grips mirrors, tile and glass instead.

Question 3

How long does the battery last?

Accepted Answer

The Professional GYMLIGHT™ runs off a 1200mAh USB-C rechargeable cell and doubles as a power bank for an emergency phone charge. The Pose Monitor™ also charges over USB-C.

Question 4

Which one should I buy first?

Accepted Answer

Start with the Professional GYMLIGHT™. Twin arms give you a key and a fill from a single unit. Add a mount so the phone stays still, and the Pose Monitor™ when you want to see the frame before you shoot.

Question 5

Will it flare my phone camera in a mirror?

Accepted Answer

No. The Professional GYMLIGHT™ diffuses its output rather than firing a bare LED array at the glass, so you get an even wash instead of a hotspot burning into the lens.

Question 6

What if I don't see a difference?

Accepted Answer

Change your mind within 7 days and send it back unused for a refund. Faulty items are covered for 6 months.

Question 7

How long does delivery take?

Accepted Answer

Orders take 1–2 business days to process, then 7–21 business days in transit. Everything ships from our international fulfilment partner, not from inside South Africa, which is why transit is longer than a local courier. You get a tracking link on dispatch. Outlying areas and public holiday periods can add a few days.

Question 8

What does delivery cost?

Accepted Answer

Delivery is free on every order. Orders take 1–2 business days to process, then 7–21 business days in transit from our international fulfilment partner. You get a tracking link on dispatch.
